Sleep – Cavatina style

Tugging at the strings of her heavy eyes

Sleep falls gently

Wrapping her safe in its holy embrace

Sleep calls softly

Rock her side to side in your tender lap

Sleep, come quickly

Princess, its time you drift into sweet dreams

Float in sleep’s ocean, down whimsical streams

What you guys just read, is an Italian form of poetry called the Cavatina!
It has a very interesting rule of alternating 10 syllable non-rhyming lines with 4 syllable rhyming lines (atleast thrice) and finishing off with a 10 syllable couplet.

Hope you all enjoyed it.. see you tomorrow!
