A tattered jacket, a half-torn card – Triolet

A tattered jacket, a half-torn card

Wouldn’t get one penny, but worth so much

What do you keep, what do you discard?

A tattered jacket, a half-torn card

Memories leave you elated; at times, scarred

The old and the new mingle with each touch

A tattered jacket, a half-torn card

Wouldn’t get one penny, but worth so much

Dear readers,

Some spring cleaning gave me the idea for today’s poem ! This style of poem is one that I have written previously, called a triolet. Here is my previous attempt.
