Travel light – Pantoum

Travel light, don’t trouble your tired arms

All this baggage will slow you down

Choose the things with which you cannot part

Parcel it safely to the corners of your heart

All this baggage will slow you down

Take what you need, not all that you want

Parcel it safely to the corners of your heart

What you leave behind, revives your memory.

Dear readers,

The style of the poem you just read was.. a Pantoum! It is a type of short folk poem that originated in Malaysia.

As you can see, it has a sort of interlinked repetition of the lines between the verses, was quite interesting to write.

Hope you enjoyed it.. see you tomorrow!
