She was a pale frog at his wedding
In a pista green bridesmaid dress
A white lily drooped within a curl of her hair
Much like the curve of her pink mouth

A champagne toast raised with her glass
While other guests swooned
Awed at the romance of the night
She felt only sorry for the bride.
